Lavar Thomas is a dynamic speaker passionate about creating global impact and helping individuals conquer self-limiting beliefs to lead a life of purpose and impact. As an international speaker, author, and social entrepreneur, Lavar's personal mission to transform the lives of individuals has taken him around the world. Lavar served as a U.S Peace Corps Volunteer in Rwanda, East Africa. He has worked globally with high schools, colleges and universities, non-profit organizations, and youth groups.
Lavar is also an award-winning Toastmaster, TEDx Speaker, and co-founder of Leaders of the Free World. This non-profit organization provides leadership development and international experiences to young Black men nationally.

What does leading a life of impact look like for?
Empower for Greatness (EFG) was birth out of Lavar’s 10+ years in public service and empowering communities at the local, national and international levels. Lavar’s ability as a masterful storyteller and facilitator leave his audiences engaged, inspired, and transformed as he helps them rewrite a narrative of what is possible.
The mission of EFG is to help individuals and organizations maximize their potential and actualize greatness. EFG helps leaders, entrepreneurs, and change agents achieve clarity, alignment, and authenticity to become their best selves and fuel their leadership journeys. Through personal development workshops, coaching sessions, and lectures, I bring individuals through a transformational leadership process to facilitate a personal breakthrough.
Lavar’s journey to becoming a social entrepreneur and global change agent has helped audiences overcome mental barriers and self-sabotage, and remove the lid from their untapped potential.
